Issuing reports, building sales kits and discovering the art and history of France’s capital

With views over the Louvre Museum, the Tuileries Garden and the Eiffel Tower, Bulgarian graduate Asen is living and working his dreams undergoing a Sales Traineeship with Le Meurice Paris.

How did you secure the Traineeship?
I knew early on in my studies at César Ritz Colleges that I wanted to develop my career in Sales & Marketing. After graduation I applied directly on the Dorchester Collection France website for the position of Sales Trainee with Le Meurice. 3 days after I sent my application I received a call. 3 Skype interviews later I was offered the position and I immediately accepted!

What does your role as Sales Trainee entail?
I provide daily assistance to the sales team including issuing reports, preparing sales kits and shipping promotional materials abroad. On the marketing side, I research current hospitality trends and follow the work of our competitors.

What has been the most interesting part of the role?
It has been very interesting to observe the Sales Managers which has given me a strong understanding of the sales process as a whole. Specifically I have learned a lot about the interpersonal skills in the luxury sector and the way the sales managers interact with high profile clients, agencies and companies.

What advice do you have for other César Ritz Colleges students?
My advice is to start building a plan early to achieve your goals.
